We are the FIRST in the world to be able to do it!! Powerline X-ray inspection is costly, difficult and sometimes just dangerous, as traditionally, they are done by using helicopters and bucket trucks. Now with the advent of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or Drones, we have started changing the game! Using a custom drone, we have successfully mounted x-ray imaging machine to safely inspect conductor sleeves on power lines. DroneX™ has been acquiring data in the air for over

one year, and it is producing accurate and actionable images!  Pictures above show images acquired using Pacific Imaging Software and Digital Detector using  High Energy X-Ray.

Pi Software with its “SINGLE CLICK” process makes acquiring images very easy. When you launch the software, detector and x-ray are auto-connected. Just press “READY” & image is acquired within a few seconds & wirelessly transferred on the tablet (or laptop) for immediate review and analysis.
